The NYS Technology Academy is pleased to announce Empire Knowledgebank, an enhanced eLearning license program. Empire Knowledgebank replaces the old E-Learning and Reference Advantage (ERA) Program and includes expanded offerings.

In addition to the current offerings of the basic course library (which includes access to over 3,000 courses in IT, Desktop, and Professional Development), Books 24x7, and the Mainframe Library, the following add-on libraries are also available: Red Vector for design and construction professionals; Care2Learn for healthcare professionals; Environment, Safety & Health; and a library covering Human Resources compliance topics.

As in past year the price per license is based on volume. We are encouraging all state government entities to take advantage of this purchase because the more licenses we purchase, the lower the price. For example if 7,500 licenses are purchased we could achieve a cost of $20 per license! This is an excellent opportunity to provide cost effective training for all employees.

Order your licenses by November 20, 2009. To order please complete the Commitment of Funding Form and the Administrator Contact Form and return the forms to techacademy@cio.ny.gov.

Each license provides a single user with unlimited access to thousands of courses or books from January 1, 2010 – December 31, 2010.
