CIO/OFT is responsible for promoting a comprehensive and coordinated IT enterprise for State government to improve organizational efficiencies, reduce costs, and improve coordination.

As part of this effort CIO/OFT has partnered with the Division of the Budget, to lead an effort to plan, design, and implement a statewide Financial Management System (NYFMS).
